New Drum Lesson Videos
Coming soon, I should add. I just recently finished editing a video using separate video shots using the same camera playing a song. This gives the illusion that I have several cameras when in reality, I played the same song 5 different times. Fun Fun. The New Blog
Hello and Welcome to my blog.
There are lots of things going on in the works right now. I am currently working with several great bands and artists. I am also heavily involved in a new online guitar magazine called "Intense Guitar and Bass Magazine". I know what you are thinking. Ben? Aren't you a drummer? Why would you be involved with a guitar magazine? Shouldn't you be in with some drum mags?
To answer those questions, yes I would like to be in some drum magazines but this opportunity to work with people such as "Stephen Ross, Mark Tremonti, Toshi Iseda, Bruce Bouillet, Gil Parris, Ronny North, and so many more... Not to mention the sponsors and manufacturers of great equipment such as Dunlop, Morley, Intex, Krank and many more...
Overall a great opportunity. I still play and tour and will be posting dates as they arrive.
In the meantime I am wanting to put together some video lessons free of charge on my website. There are so many techniques out there and so much information that is not in a lot of beginner to intermediate drum playing lessons. I am not talking about the usual, how to hold your sticks or play to a metronome (although that is the most important part of drumming). I am talking about drum placement, head selection, wood, tuning, pedal feel, foot placement and foot technique. These are just a couple of the ideas I am wanting to elaborate on.
